Job Description
Insight Global is hiring a Senior Business Analyst on behalf of a large, well-established organization in the insurance and benefits space. This role will support a high-volume data extracts Agile team. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role suited for a BA with deep data, ETL, and SQL experience who is comfortable operating in an Agile/Kanban environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Business Analyst on the Data Extracts team, you will work closely with 2–3 software developers, database analysts, and business stakeholders to support the ongoing delivery and stability of enterprise data extracts.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting requests for new data extracts and enhancements to existing extracts
Managing and implementing changes to current data extracts
Troubleshooting issues related to:
Data validation
Extract execution failures
Timing, scheduling, and delivery of data
Ensuring proper logging, monitoring, and notification processes are created, maintained, and updated
Working with Database Analysts to tune SQL queries and optimize extract performance
Supporting 80–90 data extracts in a production environment
Communicating clearly with internal and external customers and stakeholders regarding issues, timelines, and resolutions
Operating within defined service level agreements (SLAs) and understanding the criticality of timing and deadlines
Managing work using Kanban within an Agile delivery model

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in data‑heavy environments
Strong hands-on experience with:
Databases & data modelling
ETL processes and tools
SQL (advanced querying, troubleshooting, performance considerations)
Experience working on Agile teams
Experience with SSIS or similar ETL tools
Background in application support and production environments
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and high-volume workloads
Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with internal customers
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience using Kanban
Experience using MoveIT or managed file transfer tools
Background in insurance, benefits, or regulated environments
