Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to support a federal client in Ontario, Canada. This role will provide technical expertise, sustainment, and cybersecurity support for the Mission Voice Platform (MVP) systems at the 22nd Wing. The successful candidate will serve as the primary technical liaison, ensuring system readiness, compliance, and effective communication between stakeholders and our organization. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Field Service Technician Tasks
- Provide 22nd Wing stakeholders with technical expertise to develop system solutions, demonstrations, and familiarization training on MVP systems.
- Deliver maintenance and sustainment support for MVP, including checkout, operation, troubleshooting, repair, testing, and modification of system components.
- Act as the primary technical connection back into the organization, supporting issue resolution and communicating emerging customer requirements and technologies.
- Collaborate with 22nd Wing site personnel on material movement, equipment accountability, work site setup, and record keeping in line with prescribed policies.
- Attend meetings as required (teleconferences, technical meetings, technical briefs).
- Perform MVP system software patches and operating system updates.
- Install new hardware, software, or systems and track existing trouble ticket problems.
- Maintain accurate service logs, create change requests, and enter them into the appropriate trouble ticket database.
- Identify system hardware/software issues, submit RMA equipment to OEM vendors, and track status.
- Provide over‑the‑shoulder training to end users.
Cybersecurity Tasks
- Provide technical expertise to implement software vulnerability mitigation, anti‑virus updates, and documentation in support of the Authority to Operate (ATO) for MVP.
- Develop, evaluate, and analyze design constraints and detailed system/security design for the Secure‑Integrated Communication System (S‑ICS) MVP.
- Coordinate with the 22 Wing ISSO to provide oversight in solution development.
- Conduct cybersecurity testing and evaluation of hardware/software designs to verify compliance with specifications and requirements.
- Apply cybersecurity processes, methods, techniques, and tools consistently.
- Ensure systems comply with 22 Wing/DND cybersecurity policies and are hardened using DISA SCAP and STIGs.
- Verify products and systems meet information assurance and cybersecurity standards, with emphasis on network and cyber operations.
- Identify, track, and report security requirements throughout the lifecycle of assigned information systems.
- Document security control implementations and gather artifacts supporting RMF and ICD 503 Security Accreditation for Assessment and Authorization (A&A) efforts

$40/hr to $43hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

- Security Clearance: Must have an active Canadian Secret / US RELCAN.
- Experience: 5–8 years of relevant field service and/or cybersecurity experience.
- Education: BA/BS Degree or equivalent.
- Strong background in system troubleshooting, sustainment, and cybersecurity compliance.
- Familiarity with DISA SCAP, STIGs, and DND cybersecurity policies.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with military and federal stakeholders.
- Schedule: Normal work week Monday–Friday (standard duty hours). Additional hours may be required in support of exercises or operational tasking.
