Job Description
Insight Global is looking for an Operations Engineer to join an enterprise retail company 4x onsite in Brampton/Mississauga in a contract opportunity. The team supports distribution centers by evaluating operations, scaling for growth, and delivering new capabilities through process, system, and operational improvements across the DC network. Responsibilities include:
• Evaluate DC operational areas and identify improvement opportunities
• Design and implement operational solutions for new business requirements
• Lead operational readiness, cutovers, and stabilization for strategic initiatives
• Partner with DC Operations, Engineering, and 3PLs on process improvements
• Develop SOPs, training materials, and deliver training to operations teams
• Analyze process effectiveness and build business cases for improvements
• Coach DC team members and support process consistency across the network

Required Skills & Experience
1+ years of distribution operations experience
Strong understanding of DC processes, systems, and operational data and has worked onsite in a DC or manufacturing environment previously
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
Ability to work in a fast-changing, matrixed, collaborative environment
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with SQL
Experience with WMS (Manhattan Active very desirable)
Labor Management System experience
AutoStore MHE experience
Engineering background
Experience delivering large-scale operational improvements or go-lives
Training development and facilitation experience
Exposure to DCs and 3PL environments
Master’s degree
