Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a licensing and permitting construction analyst to ensure the companies compliance with price, governance, and accuracy. 1. Supports with overseeing the execution of the License and Permits Compliance program to ensure all the required license and/ or permits are obtained and all the company documentation is in accordance with company standards.
2. Performs monthly audits to ensure compliance with the company’s license and permits compliance program, including performing a review of supporting documentation.
3. Develops and maintains relationships with business units across the Company, to ensure the License and Permits program is fully integrated into the business and ways of working.
4. Actively reviews questions received from business and stores and provides subject matter guidance as required.
5. Actively participates in the implementation of global license and permits projects and/ or deliverables.
6. Supports the continuous improvement of the License and Permits Program by actively reviewing the results of monthly / quarterly monitoring activities and participating in the development and execution of remediation plans.
7. Ensures that all relevant license and permits third parties service providers understand and adhere to local and global standards relating to permitting.
8. Constantly scans the internal and external business environment to monitor trends and/or identify best practices, opportunities for innovation and process improvements.
9. Tracks, analyzes and reports on key License and Permits performance metrics.

Required Skills & Experience

- 2+ years of experience with creating permits to submit to various cities across Ontario for construction new builds or renovations within retail or industrial enterprises
- Excellent communicator with the ability to thoroughly document findings and present findings to cross functional teams to ensure accuracy
- Understands construction and design environment (Construction PM, Design Manager, real estate paralegal)
- Reviewing permit application to review compliance, payment re-imbursements, municipality rules
- Experience working with various municipality within Canada
- Understanding permitting, building services rules and regulations for municipal licensing
- Interacting with the companies third parties that will be drafting the permit applications
