Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support continuous improvement across welding, assembly, and stamping operations with a focus on improving productivity, quality, safety, and efficiency. This person will be involved in manufacturing projects from concept through launch, including tooling and equipment implementation, validation, PPAP, run-at-rate activities, engineering changes, and troubleshooting production issues. They will also help develop and maintain key manufacturing documentation such as process flows, PFMEAs, work instructions, layouts, and engineering records.

Required Skills & Experience

Engineering Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
5+ years of experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications
Experience troubleshooting manufacturing and quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
Knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, PPAP, and other automotive quality/continuous improvement tools
Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Experience supporting production, tooling, equipment, launches, or engineering changes

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, NX, CATIA, or SolidWorks
Experience with project management and cost/quote development
Experience with process optimization, plant layouts, material flow, labor utilization, or workstation ergonomics
Automation or manufacturing systems experience, including CAD layout development or PLC troubleshooting
Experience supporting customer quotations, capital projects, or new business opportunities
Flexibility to work overtime as needed to support production or customer requirements
