Job Description

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth by identifying and developing business opportunities within the pharmaceutical services sector. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, leveraging industry networks, and supporting the expansion of service contracts.
Key Responsibilities
•Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through, networking, and leveraging existing industry relationships.
•Manage and grow a portfolio of accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
•Negotiate contracts and service agreements, aiming to optimize value for both clients and the organization.
•Provide feedback on market trends, competitor activities, and client requirements to inform business strategy.
•Maintain accurate records of interactions, contracts, and client communications.
•Support the onboarding process for new clients and ensure a seamless transition into service delivery.
•Participate in regular meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and strategies for account growth.
Day-to-Day Activities
•Engage with clients to understand their needs and propose relevant solutions.
•Conduct outreach to potential clients
•Manage existing contracts, ensuring clients receive optimal service and support.
•Work closely with internal teams to address client feedback and improve service offerings.
•Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities.

Required Skills & Experience

•Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or account management within the pharmaceutical services industry.
•Proven negotiation skills and ability to build strong, trust-based relationships.
•Extensive industry network; ability to quickly connect with decision-makers.
•Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.
•Self-motivated, influential, and able to work independently.
•Demonstrated ability to manage confidential searches and sensitive information.
•Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Sciences, Business).
•Experience working with multiple pharmaceutical service providers.
