Job Description

A client is seeking a motivated and technically competent Area Sales Manager to drive growth across Canadas industrial markets, with a preferred residence in British Columbia or Alberta. The successful candidate will focus on national sales coverage while leveraging their proximity to key Western Canadian markets. This role requires experience in fluid handling systems such as pumps and a track record of working with OEMs, integrators, engineers, and industrial clients across multiple sectors.

Responsibilities include:
-Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow company presence in industrial markets across Canada, with a strong emphasis on building relationships and securing specifications.
-Manage and expand strategic relationships with OEMs, system integrators, engineering firms, distributors, and end users nationwide.
-Identify and pursue new business opportunities across key Canadian industries such as energy, water treatment, mining, manufacturing, and infrastructure.
-Promote organizations engineered pump and fluid handling solutions throughout the entire sales cyclefrom technical consultation to post-sale support.
-Work cross-functionally with internal engineering, application, and product teams to deliver optimal customer solutions.
-Maintain a healthy pipeline, monitor performance metrics, and provide accurate forecasts and market insights.
-Represent company at national industry events, conferences, and technical seminars.
-Track industry trends and competitor activity to inform strategic sales initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

-Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent technical experience).
-Minimum 57 years of sales or business development experience in fluid handling or industrial equipment markets.
-Proven success working with OEMs, system integrators, and engineering consultants.
-Strong knowledge of pump systems, fluid handling technologies, or related infrastructure solutions.
-Experience in or exposure to the data center market is a strong asset.
-Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
-Self-directed, results-oriented, and capable of working independently from a home office.
-Willingness to travel throughout Canada and occasionally to the U.S. or other company HQ locations.
-Must be based in or willing to relocate to British Columbia or Alberta.

-Experience in the data center market is a strong plus.
