We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President, Operations to join our executive leadership team. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of operational excellence, project execution, and strategic insight to help drive SWGs contributed growth and innovation
Key Responsibilities
Oversight and strategic leadership of shared services functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational efficiency, including:
IT
Compliance
Business Development
Marketing & Communications
Operations
Strategic Leadership: Drive operational strategy in alignment with corporate goals; collaborate with executives on transformation initiatives; represent Operations in board-level planning.
Operational Oversight: Lead shared services (IT, Compliance, BD, Marketing, Ops); implement policies, processes, and performance metrics; ensure interdepartmental coordination.
Project & Change Management: Oversee enterprise-wide projects, champion change initiatives, and promote continuous improvement.
Data & Analytics: Use data to track KPIs, generate executive dashboards, and guide process optimization and resource planning.
Compliance & Risk: Ensure regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and proactive risk management in collaboration with Legal and Compliance.
Talent & Culture: Build and mentor high-performing teams, foster cross-functional collaboration, and support HR-led talent initiatives.
Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, cost controls, and vendor relationships; support M&A due diligence and integration efforts.

Executive-level experience in operations, shared services, or business transformation within a complex, multi-functional environment with a large focus on business process optimization.
8+ years of experience managing operational projects including enterprise system implementations, process redesign, and change management.
8+ years of experience managing regulatory compliance, audits, and risk mitigation strategies.
Experience leading shared services across Operations, IT, and compliance functions
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present to executive leadership and board-level stakeholders.
Candidate comes from a tech background and understands IT ecosystems.
Strong** Background in the insurance industry.
CPA, CMA, ACMA, LLB, ACS or related are an asset.
