Manager, Building Systems
We’re looking for a Manager, Building Systems to lead a highly complex, site-based facilities operation in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role oversees building systems, maintenance, calibration, utilities, energy management, compliance, and team leadership to support safe and reliable site operations.
Role Summary
The Manager, Building Systems is responsible for the day-to-day and long-term operation of facility systems across the site, including HVAC, chillers, boilers, glycol, steam, diesel generators, and other critical infrastructure. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong technical credibility, confident communication, and the ability to guide a large team in a high-demand environment.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related STEM field, or equivalent experience.
• 4 to 5+ years of experience managing a large physical plant.
○ Ideally in a facility that is 3,000+ square feet with 180+ air handling units.
• Experience in a complex, high-demand environment where operations can directly impact production.
• Demonstrated expertise in energy management and facilities equipment.
○ Experience working with purified water systems.
○ HVAC, chillers, boilers, glycol, steam, diesel generators, and other critical infrastructure
• Good knowledge and experience with compliance standards.
○ GMP, CGMP, USP, ISPE, Health Canada and FDA environmental controls
• Canadian experience preferred.
• Personality
○ Strong interpersonal skills with initiative, self-motivation, planning, and organizational ability.
○ Effective communication skills and experience supervising others.
Strong technical credibility and the ability to confidently work with a skilled technical team.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience in pharmaceutical, cosmetics, aerospace, nuclear, hospital, CPG, food, or similar highly demanding environments.
Experience supporting large, multi-building or campus-style sites.
