As a Data Center Technician (DCT) at our client, you will be responsible for maintaining the core infrastructure that supports our clients online services, including some of the largest websites and cloud infrastructure in the world. The main function of a Data Center Technician is to monitor software to process business, scientific, engineering, and other data according to operating instructions.
Job Responsibilities:
Equipment Management: Prepare, install, perform diagnostics, troubleshoot, replace, and decommission equipment.
Data Center Operations: Develop an understanding of standard processes and procedures for data center operations.
Security and Compliance: Familiarize yourself with security and data management procedures.
Collaboration: Work under the guidance of more experienced data center colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
Technical Duties:
Spare part cycle count audits
Logistics/Warehouse Support (Sending/Receiving)
Handle storage media/Data Bearing Device (DBD) Reconcile/Physical Audits
Basic Server (Discrete/Rack-based) repair following documented procedures
Fiber Link Cleaning
MS Asset updates/auditing
Middle of Rack (MOR) buildout
Data-bearing Device shredding
Perform power cycles
RMA processing & Coordination with Logistics Team
Perform Troubleshooting and swap out failed components
Installation of software and firmware updates
Receive logical and physical hardware into system
Scope, test, QC and troubleshoot power, cable connections

- 2-4 years of Data Center Technician or relevant experience
- Basic understanding of network and server equipment, troubleshooting skills, and a willingness to learn and grow in the role
- Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training required
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Basic ability to work independently and manage ones time
