Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Junior/Intermediate level systems engineer to join a top automation company on contract or permanent basis. You will be learning various technical aspects of a project alongside a Senior Engineer and Project Management to help design solutions that meet customer requirements. You will be trusted to become an expert in the equipment and overall system owning specific components of high level projects and providing technical clarity by defining system requirements and validating system capability. Responsibilities include supporting requirements verification by evaluating engineering drawings and specifications for conformance to design inputs/requirements, performing analysis (calculations, simulations, etc.) and testing (POP testing, design validation testing, factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing). You will also be expected to provide project support during system startup, integration, and buy-off.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience mechanical, electrical, controls or systems engineering support
Experience with SolidWorks, capable of designing tooling from sketches or verbal concepts, with a working knowledge of common machine shop techniques
A post-secondary degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Systems Design, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, Engineering Science, or equivalent
Nuclear Energy Worker status (comfortability working in a nuclear site environment)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience in nuclear tooling/equipment development
