Job Description

As an Assistant Quality Manager you will play a key leadership role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across product development, launch activities, and ongoing operations. You will be responsible for managing internal quality systems, addressing customer concerns, and driving proactive quality strategies across multiple teams. Overseeing 9 reports, this role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic automotive environment.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years experience managing internal quality issues and customer concerns
2+ years supervisory or management experience
Automotive industry experience
Certified Lead Auditor (IATF or equivalent)
Strong understanding of IATF 16949 requirements
Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally
Familiarity with product development processes and launch activities
Proven problem-solving strategy and execution

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Knowledge or certification in Red X problem-solving methodology
Experience with advanced quality planning and supplier quality assurance
Exposure to ISO 9001/2000, ISO 17025, and TS16949 standards
Background in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives
