Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Supplier Performance Management-Hydraulic Systems & Proprietary Parts (SPM-HSPP) individual. This isn’t a part purchasing role. The manager prefers someone with buyer experience but also understanding the part and the process of what they are buying. This role is about looking after the long term vision and support of a particular supplier and mitigating future risks to secure parts for the company. The SPM would be considered the project lead for a group of suppliers (typically 10-12). They would be looking into any issues that could arise from 12+ months with a supplier, in particular looking after maturity assessments, supplier risks, business continuity plans/audits, rate readiness/load capacity risks. The manager typically likes candidates who have experience being onsite at vendors, aerospace/machine shop experience. There is a lot of travel mostly in North America and the odd trip to Europe. The Supplier Performance Management role is a strategic position and the mindset of forward, analytical and critical thinking is a necessity. Required Skills & Experience
• Manage the operational performance (Logistics & Quality) of suppliers.
• Deploy supplier development initiatives.
• Co-ordinate, lead and manage multifunctional teams to ensure collaboration and engagement with all vendor stakeholders.
• Evaluate the level of supplier risk, define and deploy the associated monitoring plans, including supporting ramp-up / down phases and the introduction of new products and dual source implementation.
• Manage and analyze the logistics and quality performance of suppliers; issue monthly scorecards based on performance utilizing the measurements of KPIs.
• Determine and lead the escalation and de-escalation process as required based on vendor’s performance.
• Manage and support supplier maturity upgrading plans and promote best practices. Challenge industrial scheme, cycle and lead times, capacity management, routings, and bottleneck management.
• Support suppliers in the implementation of progress plans in line with SAFRAN’s objectives and customer requirements.
• Arrange and conduct performance audits and assessments, proactively identifying concerns/issues; develop and monitor action plans to mitigate.
• Participate in the evaluation of suppliers during the vendor selection process.
