Job Description

The Procurement / Sourcing Specialist I is needed to support day‑to‑day purchasing operations by ensuring materials and services are ordered accurately, priced correctly, and delivered on time. This role is responsible for processing a high volume of purchase requisitions and purchase orders, validating vendor pricing using contracts, quotes, and historical data, and issuing Requests for Quotation when needed. The specialist will work closely with vendors to confirm orders, track deliveries, and resolve pricing, invoice, or delivery issues, while keeping internal stakeholders informed of order status. This position is execution‑focused and plays a key role in maintaining operational efficiency, data accuracy, and compliance within established procurement procedures.

Compensation:
$22/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

– Experience processing a high volume of purchase requisitions / POs
– Experience validating vendor pricing (contracts, price lists, historical data)
– Knowledge of RFQs (request for quotation)
– Experience working with vendors and tracking deliveries
– Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
– Comfortable resolving pricing, invoice, and delivery issues
– Proficient in Excel (plus Outlook/Word)
– Strong organization, time management, and communication skills
– Ability to work independently within defined procedures
