An environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities is looking to bring on a Process Piping Designer. As part of the Process Mechanical team, you will work on projects related to municipal water and wastewater treatment plants, including but not limited to major treatment plant expansions, regional water quality studies, and critical water reuse projects that will create sustainable and resilient water supplies for the world. This person will be responsible for a variety of project elements, including expert level design work related to complex piping systems, large pipe layouts, and water processes. This person will also provide a strong mentorship component to the team, providing guidance to overall design initiatives and goals. The majority of this person's time will be spend producing designs, but they will also need to attend meeting to connect with team members on project statuses and goals. To integrate into the team efficiently, this person will need a strong background in Revit. This person will need a strong understanding of BIM as it relates to process mechanical design for piping, valves and equipment. Strong piping design skills, including an understanding of spacing, pipe racks, a variety of piping materials, and clash free designs will be required. This role will be a 6 month contract-to-hire model, with the primary goal being a permanent conversion. This role can pay anywhere between $40-$60/hr, with permanent conversion salary coming in at or above that rate.
