Job Description
The Non‑Operated Data Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of non‑operated oil and gas data across internal systems. The role focuses primarily on data entry, validation, and quality control, while also supporting the development of data quality rules and automation of data workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.
The specialist will review and process incoming non‑operated data, communicate with internal teams and external partners to resolve data discrepancies, and maintain high standards of data governance. This position also plays a key role in identifying repetitive tasks and assisting in the implementation of automation solutions that enhance long‑term scalability.
The ideal candidate has experience working with oil and gas data—particularly non‑operated datasets—along with strong attention to detail, a process‑oriented mindset, basic SQL skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and operational teams. This role is essential for supporting accurate reporting, operational insights, and informed decision‑making by ensuring that critical non‑operated data is both complete and dependable.
Compensation:
$55-60/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of experience working with oil and gas data
○ Preferably a strong understanding of non-operated oil and gas concepts (e.g., partners, interests, operators, well lifecycle, production reporting)
- Hands on experience with data entry, validation, and quality control
- Intermediate level SQL skills
- Proven experience identifying repetitive manual tasks and proposing automation opportunities
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s in MIS, Data Analytics, Business, or similar
- Intermediate SQL + Databricks experience
- Familiarity with master data management or data governance concepts
