Job Description

Quality Manager Assistant – Job Description
Overview:
The Quality Manager Assistant supports the implementation and maintenance of the Whiting-Turner Quality Management Plan (QMP) across construction projects. This role works closely with the Quality Manager, project teams, and document control personnel to ensure compliance, accuracy, and smooth inspection processes.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in reviewing construction documents (drawings, specs, submittals) for accuracy and constructability.
Support the development and execution of project-specific QMPs.
Coordinate with third-party inspectors and Authorities Having Jurisdiction to streamline inspections.
Help schedule and manage inspection walks and quality-related meetings.
Document conformances and non-conformances, ensuring proper closure.
Maintain drawing logs and ensure accurate PDF versions are stored for subcontractor use.
Manage mass email notifications for site updates, closures, and safety events. [MUS1A -]


Skills & Qualifications

Familiarity with construction processes and quality protocols.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Experience with document control systems (e.g., Sitemetric, ACC).
Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, architects, and field teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam).
