Job Description

Lead Field Inspector – Data Center Construction
The Lead Field Inspector oversees all field‑level quality assurance and inspection activities on a data center construction project. This role ensures that installation work meets design specifications, project requirements, and client standards while guiding a team of inspectors and maintaining rigorous documentation and follow‑up processes.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and perform field inspections across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and low‑voltage scopes to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Provide training, coaching, and technical guidance to field inspectors to ensure consistent inspection methods, documentation practices, and quality expectations.

Review field documentation, including inspection reports, checklists, photos, and daily logs, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project requirements.

Identify nonconformances in the field, document findings clearly, and communicate issues to construction and subcontractor teams.

Drive follow‑up and closure of nonconformances, including verification of corrective actions and updates to quality records.

Coordinate with construction managers, engineers, and trade partners to resolve field quality issues and prevent recurrence.

Support quality audits, client walkthroughs, and readiness checks for major milestones.

Maintain strong awareness of project specifications, installation standards, and client quality expectations to ensure consistent field execution.

Qualifications
Experience in construction inspection, QA/QC, or field engineering (data center or mission‑critical experience preferred).

Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and installation standards.

Ability to lead and mentor inspection staff in a fast‑paced environment.

Skilled in documentation review, issue tracking, and nonconformance management.

Strong communication and coordination skills across field and office teams.
