Insight Global is looking to hire a Commercial Lines Master Field Underwriter for one of our largest insurance clients, sitting remotely but required to travel throughout Nashville, Knoxville, and Chattanooga, Tennessee. This individual will represent the company among a defined territory of agencies with the state of Tennessee, manages and services a profitable renewal book of Commercial Lines business utilizing the highest level of technical underwriting ability. The role conducts territory planning, performance analysis and agency management to maximize production, profit, and retention. You will be acting as the key contact for specified agencies, leading agency business planning and account inventory management. You will be building an account inventory of new business achieving product and revenue objectives. You will be responsible for the full process of underwriting, including sales and technical underwriting. You will have an underwriting assistant to help with organizing files, pull support data, etc. but you will be assisting and mostly responsible for the technical underwriting. You will receive a company car, company gas card, and all travel / hotels will be expensed by the client.
Salary: 110-170k depending on years of experience

- 8+ years of experience of P&C Commercial Underwriting (well versed in auto and workers comp)
- Bachelors degree in business or related discipline
- Experience underwriting and managing commercial lines book of business for an entire state (Tennessee preferred)
- Strong sales AND technical underwriting background
- National insurance carrier industry experience
