An employer in the West Chester, OH area is seeking a Engineering Technician to join the R&D team. This role involves working with both beta and production machines, focusing on the electrical and mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and maintenance of these machines. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn and grow within the role. Additional responsibilities include:
-Troubleshoot issues within existing machines, repair mechanical problems, and work proactively to prevent future maintenance issues
-Read and understand diagrams and schematics to assist with the electrical and mechanical assembly of new machines.
-Collaborate with internal engineering teams to conduct functional and validation testing of parts and assemblies
-Perform daily routine and non-routine maintenance, including troubleshooting systems and working with engineers to solve engineering problems.
-Write and evaluate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
-Set up machines, prepare them for operation, monitor them during builds, and perform follow-up maintenance.
-Document findings and maintenance activities.
-Conduct machine upgrades, including validation testing and other functional systematic checks.
-Perform offline bench assembly or run tests as needed.
-Engage in post-processing activities, including recognizing issues on screen, conducting inspections, recording results, and providing clear feedback and problem analysis.

- Experience working in a manufacturing, machining or R&D environment
