Job Description

The SharePoint Administrator is responsible for leading the migration of a legacy SharePoint environment (“control system”) to modern SharePoint Online, while designing and implementing automation and digitized workflows to replace paper-based and manual processes. This role partners closely with engineering teams to build a user-friendly, scalable, and searchable system that enables engineers to easily store, manage, and pull data. Upon completion of the migration and modernization effort, this role will train and transition ownership to 2–3 internal resources, ensuring long-term sustainability and maintainability of the SharePoint environment

$42/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

• Core SharePoint Online Administration experience
o Designing and managing site architecture (site collections, hubs, navigation, information architecture).
o Managing permissions and security (M365/SharePoint groups, Owners/Members/Visitors, external/guest access).
o Configuring and supporting document libraries, lists, content types, views, versioning, retention.
o Monitoring site health and performance, storage, and usage; basic troubleshooting of access and sync issues.
• Power Apps (SharePoint Integrated) experience
o Building custom SharePoint list/library forms using Power Apps from within SharePoint (Integrate/Power Apps → Customize forms).
o Designing forms with appropriate layouts, data cards, validation, conditional visibility, and user experience.
o Using Power Fx formulas for business logic, default values, calculated fields, and conditional formatting.
o Managing environments, connections, and app permissions for SharePoint-integrated apps (not standalone).
• Power Automate (SharePoint centric) experience
o Creating list/library flows from SharePoint (Integrate/Automate → Power Automate → Create/See your flows).
o Implementing flows for approvals, notifications, reminders, data moves, and document handling tied to SPO.
o Using SharePoint triggers and actions (item created/modified, get items, update items, file operations) effectively.
o Debugging and maintaining flows (Flow Checker, run history, error handling, preventing infinite trigger loops).
