Job Description

Installs, services, and repairs heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
Monitors HVAC equipment and performance, ensuring routine preventive maintenance is completed on schedule and to required standards.
Responds to hot and cold temperature complaints, troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly.
Inspects, repairs, and/or replaces system components including valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, coils, piping, and other essential parts.
Performs all work following established safety procedures.
Records all maintenance and repair activities in the CMMS system.
Adheres to all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
Reports any accidents or injuries promptly.
Participates in scheduled safety meetings, training sessions, and hazard assessments.
Applies all OSHA and applicable local safety regulations to assigned tasks.
Follows all established safety protocols during every job.
Attends designated training programs, both in-person and virtual.
Serves as a lead HVAC Maintenance Mechanic, performing installation, maintenance, and repair tasks on HVAC systems.
Reviews completed work to ensure compliance with local building and safety codes.
Estimates labor and material requirements for HVAC-related projects.
Orders necessary HVAC materials and equipment.
Assists, under management direction, in developing project scopes and budgets for equipment replacements and energy-efficiency initiatives.
Verifies and implements preventive maintenance standards for all HVAC distribution equipment.
Operates and maintains the building automation system (BAS/BMS).
May be responsible for training new technicians on commercial HVAC systems, building management systems (BMS), and building automation systems (BAS).
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

5 or more years of HVAC technician experience in Healthcare or Commercial
Working knowledge of HVAC systems, variable air, chilled water systems, single/multi split, variable refrigerant flow
Previous BMS experience
EPA CFC Universal Certificate
