Job Description

• Serve as part of the Engineering Helpdesk, providing day-to-day customer support engineering for internal teams and external customer-facing needs
• Assess incoming engineering work requests within 24 hours, determine ownership, and prioritize based on urgency and impact
• Support external customer-related issues, including Rapid response to product failures or field issues
o Identifying and correcting design gaps or product offering issues (e.g., component visibility, system functionality)
• Perform deep root cause analysis using disciplined problem-solving methodologies (including 8D) — no surface-level or “service-only” fixes
• Develop and implement both short-term corrective actions and long-term design improvements
• Contribute to new technology development, supporting projects from idea and concept through design, validation, and production
• Collaborate cross-functionally with test technicians, electrical engineers, manufacturing, and other engineering teams
• Act as a key connector (“the glue”) to help move solutions forward efficiently and effectively

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)
• Strong mechanical engineering background with some exposure or interest in Electrical Engineering
• Proven experience with root cause analysis and structured problem-solving
• Comfortable working in environments where priorities can change quickly
• High energy, intellectually curious, and willing to dig deep to find the right solution
• Experience using Creo (3D CAD) or similar design tools

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience in manufacturing, heavy equipment, or construction equipment industries
• Prior work supporting customer-facing engineering or field issue resolution
• Experience developing products or components from concept through production
