Job Description

The Senior Email Marketing Manager will support Marketing by overseeing and executing all email marketing activities for the brand. Excellent writing skills, graphic design skills, deep understanding of email marketing, and technical proficiency in email marketing management platform is required.

Required Skills & Experience

Duties and Responsibilities

Manage the brands email marketing program from creative brief through execution.
Design and build or oversee the design and build of all email marketing campaigns including brand promotions, triggered guest emails, loyalty program emails, sales emails, and other campaigns.
Select and treat graphics and images.
Copy writing and editing for email content
Produce and analyze monthly email campaign performance reports.
Monitor performance and adjust email strategy or execution as needed to optimize performance.
Collaborate closely with other functions including Distribution, Communications and/or Sales to review and deploy email campaigns successfully.
Collaborate closely within Marketing to ensure brand consistency and usability throughout the customer journey.
Close communication with agency offering email marketing platform.
Apply email marketing best practices.
Recommend and test email strategies to improve performance.
Ensure brand, hotel, program or campaign information is accurate and up-to-date in email communications.
Review and oversee work to ensure it meets Red Roof brand and quality standards.
Review email analytics to understand performance or identify issues.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must, with written fluency in American-style English. Writing samples will be required.
Proven experience working in an enterprise level email marketing platform required.
Can demonstrate understanding of email marketing practices, purpose, and how to employ in e-commerce.
Can read and interpret key performance indicators for email marketing, and basic digital marketing KPIs.
Excellent Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills.
Basic photo editing and graphic design skills required. Video editing a plus.
Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts, Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications OR equivalent work experience preferred.

Knowledge
Deep understanding of email marketing best practices.
Knowledge of common email communications regulations and data privacy laws and how they apply to Red Roof.
Understand basic concept of Web analytics (Google Analytics experience a plus.)
