Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and experienced Scrum Master to join Abercrombie's team within the Data Strategy Team (DST). The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing scrum work and will play a crucial role in defining and improving ways of working within the squad operating model. This role requires a dynamic individual who can manage dependencies proactively and plan effectively in increments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Define Ways of Working: Dive into existing processes and define new ways of working where needed, rather than enforcing a rigid standard.
• Proactive Dependency Management: Identify, manage, and resolve dependencies across teams and projects to ensure smooth project execution.
• Incremental Planning: Plan and forecast work in quarterly increments, ensuring accurate forecasting and alignment with business goals.
• Scrum Work: Perform scrum-related tasks, including facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, and customer service, to ensure project success.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and manage expectations.

Required Skills & Experience

Required Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master, preferably within an agile environment.
• Strong ability to define and improve ways of working in dynamic and sometimes messy environments.
• Excellent dependency management skills with a proactive approach.
• Experience in planning and forecasting work in quarterly increments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in the retail industry.
• Background in marketing or experience working with marketing teams.
• Familiarity with the squad operating model.
