Job Description

An employer is looking for Safety Supervisors across various locations nationwide. You will supervise a team responsible for creating and implementing health, safety, and environmental programs for clients.
This job is part of the Environment Health and Safety function. They are responsible for organizational programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities. You will assist in managing HSE programs and initiatives to meet regulatory requirements and client needs, while evaluating new/ existing programs to assess suitability and need for change. You will support process for monitoring injury, illness, and incident-related performance. You will act as an SME for staff and oversee plans/ procedures making sure playbooks are current and complete. You will identify opportunities to reduce costs while enhancing the quality of services in this space. Additional tasks will include:
• Resolve complex problems and identify appropriate approaches to existing solutions to accomplish team objectives.
• May establish new techniques to ensure the team is able to meet its objectives.
• Has a direct impact on the team objectives as well as the objectives of related teams.
• Ensure personal and team outcomes have a positive impact on customer objectives.
• Develop, organize, and implement safety related programs that meet company safety standards.
• Perform and document jobsite inspections and audits with a focus on hazard recognition and unsafe behaviors.
• Coordinate and conduct safety meetings/training programs to ensure effective communication amongst employees.
• Participate in regulatory agency inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Evaluate effectiveness of safety programs through daily field walks. Regulatory compliance and audit oversight.
• Meet regularly with field personnel and support in the development of project specific corrective action plans to address safety issues and concerns.
• Assist with delivery of jobsite specific safety orientations for new employees joining the project, as applicable.

Required Skills & Experience

3-5+ years experience in safety management in construction environments
Well versed in construction safety standards and protocols
Experience with data center, telecom, or similar construction environments
STS-C or CHST certified
Experience with union workforce (Desired)
OSHA 30 Construction
Strong Microsoft Office skills

BISCI RCDD
OSHA 500
Military experience
College degree
