Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Windows Administrator to support a strategic client management transition from Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) to Microsoft Intune across an enterprise environment of over 8,000 Windows devices. This role is critical to ensuring a smooth migration, maintaining endpoint compliance, and optimizing device lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities:


Migration Support:

Assist in planning and executing the transition from SCCM to Intune.
Collaborate with engineering and project teams to develop migration strategies and timelines.
Perform device enrollment, configuration, and policy deployment via Intune.



Endpoint Management:

Maintain and support Windows 10/11 endpoints during and after migration.
Monitor device health, compliance, and performance using Intune and other tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to device provisioning, application deployment, and patching.



Policy & Configuration:

Create and manage configuration profiles, compliance policies, and conditional access rules in Intune.
Ensure Group Policy Objects (GPOs) are appropriately transitioned or replicated in Intune.



Security & Compliance:

Support endpoint security configurations including Defender, BitLocker, and firewall policies.
Ensure devices meet organizational security and compliance standards throughout the migration.



Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain detailed documentation of migration processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
Generate reports on device status, compliance, and migration progress.

Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Windows Administrator in enterprise environments.
Strong hands-on experience with SCCM and Microsoft Intune.
Solid understanding of Windows OS, Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
Experience with endpoint security tools and compliance frameworks.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
Strong communication and documentation skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Microsoft certifications (e.g., MD-102, MS-101, AZ-104).
Experience with co-management scenarios (SCCM + Intune).
Familiarity with Azure AD, Autopilot, and modern device provisioning.
