Job Description
As an Entry-Level Cloud Engineer, you’ll join a team that values curiosity, ownership, and a willingness to learn. You’ll help build and maintain cloud infrastructure while supporting compliance initiatives that keep our systems secure and audit ready. This is a launchpad role for someone eager to grow into a cloud and security expert. This will be a remote role, but will need to be drivable to Cincinnati, Dallas or Charlotte for team workshops.
Key Responsibilities
• Cloud Operations: Assist in deploying, monitoring, and maintaining cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Compliance Support: Help implement and document controls for frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA
• Security Hygiene: Support patching, access reviews, and basic vulnerability remediation tasks
• Monitoring & Logging: Help configure cloud-native monitoring tools and ensure logs are properly retained and accessible
• Documentation & Collaboration: Maintain clear documentation and work closely with senior engineers and compliance teams
• Continuous Learning: Stay curious—attend internal workshops, complete certifications, and explore new cloud technologies

Required Skills & Experience
• A strong desire to learn and grow in cloud engineering and security
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)—certifications are a plus but not required
• Familiarity with Linux, networking concepts, and scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
• Understanding of Vulnerability Management
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Completed coursework or bootcamp in cloud computing or DevOps
• Exposure to CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Experience with ticketing systems or basic IT support
• Any cloud or security certification (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, CompTIA Security+)
• Experience working in an Agile environment
