Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a Construction/Operations Manager for an outdoor living construction company based in the Columbus, OH area. Responsible for monitoring production activity project workmanship, quality of methods, techniques, and processes. The focus is on conformance with project objectives, profit goals, and production schedules. They ensure that the production process is on time and within the budget. Guiding direct reports to improve efficiency and safety.

Duties/Responsibilities:



Manage a team of up to 6 team members



Responsible for all Active Field Operations



Responsible to ensure pre-project planning is completed timely and on budget



Responsible for drawing reviews and changes on all projects



Measure and manage client satisfaction



Weekly Handoff Meetings with PM, Coordinators, and permitting



Responsible for adhering to the operations budget



Develop and maintain a quality program to ensure company's vision



Run and ensure proper handoff to Production Mangers weekly



Maintain checks on the production of all Active jobs



Ensure all active projects are scheduled and following the correct critical path



Maintain a pipeline of trade partners to ensure teams are available as needed



Responsible for material budgeting and preconstruction material planning



Responsible for approving all Purchase Order for all labor and construction Teams



Responsible for all vendor relationships



Responsible for ensuring all materials are per contract or alternatives approved by the client



Build new Vendor relations to ensure the best product for the best price for the team's needs



Perform Cost- savings and profit analysis per job, month and year

Required Skills & Experience

An associate degree, construction apprenticeship, or related proven field experience is mandatory



Mandatory 5 years of experience working in the construction field, preferably as a Forman or above.

Experience in the outdoor living space- pools, hardscapes, patios, outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, etc.



Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, exposure to schedule software, preferably Buildertrend



Ability to manage multiple projects with urgent deadlines



In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles



Ability to read construction blueprints and drawings



Knows construction math skills, including how to convert quantities, take measurements, and solve basic equations



Must be available with short notice to travel as required



Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (if driving a Company Vehicle)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour Outreach Training preferred
