Job Description

A Government-supporting organization is seeking a junior Software/RF Engineer to support the development and testing of Software Defined Radio (SDR), radar, and communications systems. This individual will join a small team of engineers responsible for researching new technologies, developing proof-of-concept solutions, and supporting customer-focused RF programs. Approximately 25% of the role will involve literature reviews, technical research, and developing plans of action for emerging technologies and customer requirements. Roughly 50% of the role will focus on software development, including prototyping capabilities in MATLAB and implementing solutions in Python and C++. The engineer will also interface directly with laboratory test equipment and RF hardware to validate system performance and support the development of realistic radar and communications simulations. The ideal candidate is a "utility player" who enjoys working across both software and RF disciplines. They should be comfortable writing code one day, working with radar or communications hardware the next, and supporting hands-on testing activities in a lab environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer looking to grow into a highly specialized RF/software development role supporting long-term defense programs.
