Lead Production: Oversee production operations across multiple departments, ensuring smooth workflow and coordination between day and night shifts.
Collaborate: Work with plant leadership in areas like materials, scheduling, and logistics to create accurate projections and maintain a balanced schedule.
Resource Management: Adjust staffing, materials, and other resources to meet production goals and ensure timely shipments.
Quality Control: Implement quality initiatives and checks to meet plant and brand standards. Participate in audits and customer programs.
Coordination: Ensure alignment and cross-training between different value streams. Work with other departments to achieve shared goals.
Safety Leadership: Provide training and audits on safety practices. Address safety concerns, manage accident investigations, and ensure all employees are trained.
Performance Monitoring: Track key metrics, analyze data, and lead improvements. Provide recommendations to plant leadership.
Equipment Management: Coordinate with the maintenance department to ensure equipment is functioning well and downtime is minimized.
Cost Management: Manage spending and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Issue Resolution: Handle escalated issues from various stakeholders and document resolutions.
Employee Engagement: Foster a positive work environment, improve employee retention, and ensure regular coaching and training for hourly employees.
Team Development: Build a high-performing team through hiring, training, and development. Make staffing recommendations.
Continuous Improvement: Suggest and lead improvements in production methods, equipment, procedures, quality, and safety. Participate in projects as needed.
