Job Description
An employer is seeking a Corporate Controller in the Dayton, OH area. The Corporate Controller is responsible for leading and determining accounting and reporting implications for all material business decisions and is also an active participant in the tax strategies and compliance of the Company
Key Responsibilities:
• Acts as a strategic business partner to the Executive Leadership Team & designated Business Leaders
• Mentors and develops the team, managing work assignments, systems training, performance reviews, and the building of an effective and efficient team dynamic
• Develop, implement, and maintain a services organization philosophy and roadmap to better support the business, remove roadblocks and ensure appropriate knowledge and support across all levels of the organization
• Reviews and ensures application of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures are in place and followed
• Oversees the preparation and communication of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and ensures timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data
• Oversees and reviews all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts, and overhead cost allocation
• Complies with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings as well as GAAP standards and best practices
• Coordinates the preparation of information to external auditors for annual audits

Required Skills & Experience
- 5-8 years of accounting and finance experience
- 2+ years leadership experience as a Controller
- Experience with developing and implementing accounting policies in line with GAAP
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong with Microsoft Excel
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- NetSuite experience
