A well-known Government supporting company in the Dayton OH area is seeking an Aerospace Project Engineer to join a collaborative team supporting various projects within AFRL. These projects are involving many focuses such as drag reduction of an aircraft, new designs of lights, designs of equipment etc. This role will support and lead systems engineering, research, evaluation, reverse engineering, design, and test/validation of hardware for aircraft, support equipment, and vehicles. Responsibilities will include creating and executing component and system level validation and qualification test plans as well as analysis of test data and results, work with USAF hardware engineers to ensure documentation and product conformance with engineering design intent and performance requirements or even interfacing with USAF hardware owners and teams to identify and document equipment end items and components in support of lifecycle management (LCM) activities. This person will be geared more on the technical side but will be asked to be customer facing as well.

- Bachelors in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering etc
- 10+ years aerospace engineering/technical experience in aircraft, vehicles or support equipment/aviation/airworthiness/systems engineering
o supporting new product development
o Creating and executing component and system level validation and qualification test plans
o Compliance/ safety assurance
o Systems engineering
- 3D CAD design experience
- Ability to obtain a clearance
