Company: Grange Insurance
Position: UX Designer
Location: FULLY REMOTE
Hours: Normal M-F, 8-5
Duration: 1 yr contract plus extensions or hire
Bill Rate: 87.48

GENERAL SUMMARY: Work with multiple teams to deliver designs iteratively and guide the design process. Integrate brand into digital projects and maintain consistent user experience.

PLACEMENT CRITERIA:
1. Core interaction design skills with consumer facing apps and high productivity apps experience.
2. Responsive design experience and strong interpersonal skills.
3. Experience creating low fidelity wireframes and flow diagrams.
4. Fluency with visual and interaction design tools - Sketch, Adobe XD, Adobe design software suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign).
5. 2 to 5 years of professional design experience in a consulting or in-house environment.
6. Portfolio that demonstrates ability to explore, design, and document digital user experiences grounded in user, business, and technical insights.
7. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
8. Ready to hit the ground running and work independently.
9. Must be comfortable with critique, collaboration, and co-authorship.
10. Confident in individual expertise and perspective, but eager to learn from others.
11. Must have a strong understanding of the end-to-end design process and evidence of using appropriate methods to inform solutions.
12. A design-related degree, Masters degree a plus.
13. Agile UX experience a plus.
14. Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript a plus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Work on multiple projects simultaneously with multiple teams and manage deadlines.
2. Quickly learn and gather relevant information to guide design direction and create holistic visual design solutions that address business, brand and user requirements.
3. Develop wireframes, prototypes, specifications, style guides, visual assets and other design deliverables.
4. Clearly present and instruct teams on design vision and process.
5. Integrate user testing feedback into designs and constantly learn about how users interact with products.
6. Experience taking designs from workflow diagrams to high-fidelity wireframes.
