Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Cybersecurity Administrator to work for a local municipal government onsite. Under the direction of the Commissioner and Chief of Innovation and Technology, this individual will support multiple security initiatives involving the design, implementation, and ongoing management of cybersecurity programs across the organization. This role requires a strong blend of technical cybersecurity knowledge and executive presence, serving as a key liaison between IT leadership, cabinet members, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders. Responsibilities include leading cybersecurity awareness and training programs, coordinating phishing and business continuity exercises, facilitating and conducting tabletop incident response exercises, assisting with forensic and security investigations, and delivering presentations to executive leadership. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with cybersecurity operations while also providing administrative leadership, driving organizational security initiatives, managing cross-functional communication, and helping strengthen the municipality's overall cybersecurity posture.
BR: $100-$110/hr

Required Skills & Experience
• Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field from an accredited college, university, or vocational school
• 3-5 years of full-time paid experience in cybersecurity, cloud security or IT security
• Knowledge of Microsoft Defender (Cloud, Endpoint, O365 and Identity) and Microsoft Sentinel.
• Business continuity planning experience
• Strong communication, documentation ability, leadership, and organizational skills
• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of thirty pounds
• Valid State of Ohio Driver’s License
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree
• Public sector/ government experience
• Basic knowledge of network security including firewalls, VPNs, and network segmentation.
• Relevant certifications (AZ-900, AZ-500, Security+, or equivalent)
• Knowledge of Azure Identity and Access Management (IAM) and RBAC.
• Experience with security monitoring tools, SIEM platforms, or endpoint security solutions.
• Understanding of cloud security principles and Zero Trust architecture.
• Basic scripting knowledge such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
