Job Description
The Workday Technical Systems Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting Workday solutions across Time Off, Time Tracking, Payroll, and Absence. This role serves as a hands‑on technical resource, owning a full workstream and delivering high‑quality, end‑to‑end solutions. While the role has no direct reports, it requires strong leadership, ownership, and the ability to guide stakeholders through requirements, design, and testing.
Lead the design, development, configuration, and support of Workday functionality, with a primary focus on:
Time Off Plans (75%)
Payroll improvements, Time Tracking, and Absence (25%)
Build Workday solutions from scratch, including configuration, testing, and deployment.
Partner with stakeholders to gather, clarify, and translate business requirements into scalable Workday designs.
Produce high‑quality deliverables, documentation, and learning materials (L&D‑level quality).
Own a full workstream within larger projects, ensuring timelines, quality, and outcomes are met.
Troubleshoot issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement long‑term fixes.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including HR, Payroll, IT, and Operations.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across Workday and related applications.

Required Skills & Experience
Strong hands‑on experience with Workday, including configuration and solution design.
Experience with Workday Time Off, Time Tracking, Payroll, and Absence.
Ability to independently build, test, and deploy Workday solutions.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to lead a workstream without direct reports.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to draw out requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical solutions.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Certifications -- Workday Pro Absence Certification, Workday Pro Payroll Certification, HCM Core Certification
Experience with Workday in both the USA and Canada
