Job Description

Insight Global is assisting a client in identifying 2 Construction Project Managers for a direct hire opportunity in both Cincinnati, OH and Chicago, IL areas. This role is primarily responsible to execute projects from start to finish; must clearly communicate with subcontractors and owners; have a strong understanding of budgets, cost control and constructability. In addition, they are detailed oriented with proven ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work to meet deadlines; and are known for being able to provide innovative and sound solutions to complex problems. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the daily management, supervision, coordination, and successful completion of construction projects to meet time and cost objectives with respect to contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding and contract administration functions.

Maintaining good communication and coordinating work schedules with operations personnel until the project is completed.
Interacting professionally and effectively with executive staff through daily or weekly verbal and written communication.
Conducting buy-out meetings and preparing subcontracts.
Possessing a working knowledge of project plans, specifications, owner contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, daily correspondence, shop drawings, submittals, and other project-related documents. Maintaining a complete and accurate set of as-builts.
Initiating, establishing, and maintaining working relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate construction activities.
Establishing, updating, and communicating the Master Project Schedule and managing its implementation.
Leading the preconstruction team in developing the project scope and managing the bid process, including qualifying bidders.
Managing the project budget and financial reporting, interpreting, and analyzing reports to ensure adherence to the budget.
Managing the quality assurance/quality control program.
Providing leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, and fee and pricing decisions.
Ensuring strict adherence to ethics and compliance requirements throughout the business unit.
Developing cost-effective solutions for design conflicts and proposing alternate solutions to reduce costs.
Directing all phases of a project, including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration services, in accordance with the requirements of the Owner/Architect Contract Agreement.
Serving as the main point of contact for information resources by coordinating owner work, participating in construction meetings, resolving disputes, providing ongoing feedback, and coordinating project punch list and closeout document requirements.
Driving competencies within the team regarding insurance, labor relations, and employee relations.
Enforcing safety protocols among the project staff.
Working with the accounting department to initiate the pay application process and ensuring timely payment.
Keeping management informed of the project's progress and budget through regularly scheduled Operation Review Meetings.
Supporting and driving the utilization of various Arclight initiatives and technologies.

Required Skills & Experience

Comfortable with bi-weekly travel as check-ins for 2-3 days
Projects mostly in mid-west, but can be in other places (projects currently in Kentucky, Illinois, Michigan, mid-west, Iowa, Texas, Florida)
Experience working onsite for industrial construction projects.
Engineering background/degree (open to different engineering disciplines)
5+ years of Construction Project Management
Comfortable with taking care of expenses on personal credit card.
Will be paid out 2x a month.

If able to travel more than bi-weekly (not required)
