Job Description
A large financial organization is seeking a Mainframe Engineer that will sit remote working est for a long term contract role. The Mainframe Engineer will join a team responsible for supporting and modernizing the bank's card processing space. They are looking for someone with expertise in modernizing mainframe technologies and who can do the analysis of the current environment, as well as assist in designing the solution for modernization. If you have experience in card processing or other payment rails that would be nice to have but not required.

Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of experience with Mainframe technologies such as Cobol, JCL, DB2, VSAM, SAS, etc
Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
Experience working with Card Processing Solutions (TSYS, Mastercard, Visa)
Experience with version control solutions, preferably Git/GitHub
Modern ETL design and modeling processes with Datastage, informatica, or something similar
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Snowflake environment tools like Elevate, Switchboard, or DBT
ETL file movement using sFTP
Understanding of basic networking and firewall concepts
Familiarity with security best practices for software development
