Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Product Owner to partner with a local Cincinnati-based bank that has recently won a federally regulated government program focused on loading benefits onto credit cards. This role will play a critical part in building a brand-new Java-based application, working closely with Engineering and a third-party vendor managing complex platform conversions. The ideal candidate is highly experienced in prioritization, backlog management, and navigating challenging, high-stakes environments with multiple competing priorities.

Required Skills & Experience

Okay coming onsite 5x/week downtown Cincinnati
7–10 years of experience as a Product Owner, owning product delivery from discovery through implementation
Extensive experience working with 3rd-party vendors, including large-scale platform conversions and integrations
Proven experience partnering with Engineering teams to build a brand-new application, preferably using Java
Demonstrated success working in challenging environments with competing priorities, including managing difficult conversations with stakeholders and vendors
Strong backlog ownership skills with extensive experience prioritizing work to balance business value, regulatory needs, and delivery constraints
Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining forward momentum and alignment across teams

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Understanding of credit cards, payments, government or federally funded work
