Job Description

A large financial organization is seeking a Senior Product Owner that will sit onsite in Cincinnati Ohio for a long term contract. As a Senior Product Owner, you will lead the strategic planning, development, and management of financial products or services designed to enable the seamless transfer, payment, and movement of funds for our customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, prioritize features, and ensure the delivery of secure, efficient, and user-friendly solutions. You will join a newly stood up scrum team that is responsible for modernizing their core systems and transitioning from their legacy platform to a 3rd party hosted platform that is hosted in the cloud.

Product Strategy: Develop and communicate a clear product strategy and vision for Move Money products, aligning them with business goals and market trends.
Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, developers, and QA testers, to ensure successful product development and delivery.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and customer preferences related to financial transactions to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Requirements Definition: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements, considering customer needs, compliance, and security.
Roadmap Planning: Develop a product roadmap that outlines the timeline and key milestones for Move Money product initiatives.
Agile Development: Implement agile methodologies to manage the product development process, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iteration reviews.
User Experience: Ensure that Move Money products offer a seamless and intuitive user experience, optimizing user interfaces and customer journeys.
Security and Compliance: Ensure that all products comply with regulatory requirements and security standards, including data privacy and fraud prevention.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with! financial transactions, payment processing, and funds movement.
Performance Metrics: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of Move Money products and make data-driven decisions.
Customer Feedback: Collect and analyze customer feedback to continuously improve the Move Money product portfolio.
Financial Management: Manage the budget allocated for product development, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
Stakeholder Communication: Keep internal and external stakeholders informed about product progress, updates, and any issues or challenges.

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of experience as a Product Owner
Technical/IT background and knowledgeable in Software Development, APIs, Middleware, data transactions or cloud migrations
Strong written and verbal communication
Strategic problem solver and self starter

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience modernizing backend platforms
Experience working in banking or finance
Experience transitioning to a 3rd party hosted platform
