Job Description

A client in the Logistics and Transportation industry is seeking a Sr. IT Project/Program Manager to lead acquisition integration efforts. With a major acquisition on the horizon, the organization needs a seasoned project/program manager to drive seamless integration of IT systems, data, and digital workflows. If local to Chicago or Cincinnati onsite will be as needed to go to various locations, 25% travel or less.
Key Responsibilities
• IT Integration Strategy & Execution: Develop and manage comprehensive IT integration plans that align acquired systems with enterprise architecture. Define key milestones, timelines, and deliverables for infrastructure, application, and data migration.
• Systems & Data Consolidation: Oversee the integration of core platforms (ERP, CRM, HRIS, etc.), ensuring data integrity, security, and minimal disruption to business operations.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with IT leadership, cybersecurity, legal, finance, HR, and business units to ensure alignment on integration goals. Serve as the central point of contact for all IT-related aspects of the acquisition.
• Risk & Compliance Management: Identify technology risks, including data privacy, access controls, and system compatibility. Develop mitigation strategies and ensure compliance with regulatory and legal standards.
• Due Diligence & Technical Assessment: Lead technical due diligence to evaluate the target company’s IT landscape, infrastructure, and digital maturity. Provide recommendations for integration or modernization.
• Reporting & KPIs: Track integration progress using dashboards and reporting tools. Measure success against predefined IT KPIs such as system uptime, data migration accuracy, and user adoption rates.

Required Skills & Experience

7–10 years in an IT Project/Program Management role
7–10 years of experience leading M&A integrations, with a focus on IT systems and infrastructure
Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as ERP, CRM, HRIS, and PPM tools
Proven success managing cross-functional teams across IT, business operations, and enterprise systems

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with Workday, Oracle, JDEdwards, etc.
Transportation or Logistics Industry experience
PMP Certification
