Job Description

An employer is seeking a remote SDET to partner with 5 remote engineers on a greenfield project to rewrite the bank’s credit system

Design and implement automated test frameworks for both front-end (Angular) and back-end (.NET) components

Develop integration and end-to-end tests for distributed systems using RabbitMQ and Azure Service Bus

Write SQL-based validation scripts to ensure data accuracy and performance in the credit system

Build and maintain test automation pipelines in Azure DevOps to support continuous integration and deployment

Collaborate with developers, architects, and business analysts to define test strategies and acceptance criteria

Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups to ensure quality is embedded throughout the agile process

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve test failures across environments to maintain system reliability

Contribute to quality gates in CI/CD pipelines, ensuring only thoroughly tested code is released

Advocate for best practices in test automation, performance testing, and security validation

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience as an SDET in the C#/.NET stack

1+ years of proven experience with Insight Global (client strongly prefers rehires)

Hands-on experience supporting Greenfield development projects

Strong expertise in:
.NET 8, MVC, .NET Framework (for test automation integration)
Angular (front-end testing frameworks such as Jasmine/Karma or Cypress)
RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus (testing distributed messaging systems)
T-SQL (validating data integrity and performance)
Azure Function Apps, Azure App Services (cloud-native testing)
Azure DevOps Pipelines (CI/CD automation, build/release validation)

Prior banking industry experience
