An employer is seeking a remote SDET for a contract project. The company is working on upgrading their Investments, Debts, & Derivatives application. A project team has been formed to execute the upgrade of the existing architecture and develop enhancements to modernize the application.
This person will be reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios. He or she will also create and maintain automated test cases, executes test suites, reviews and diagnoses reported bugs, and ensures overall system quality prior to a customer release. In addition, this person will be analyzing test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability. The individual will also be preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the project team. Right now things are 85% manual and the goal is to get to 50% manual/50% automation.
