Job Description
A large financial organization is seeking a Release Engineer for a contract opportunity through March 2026 (with a high likelihood for extensions). This individual can sit remotely (must work EST), but there is a preference for candidates that can be onsite in Cincinnati. This individual will:
• Serve as the central coordinator and liaison across seven development squads, product owners, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely release cycles.
• Oversee validation and sign-off processes for all team releases, acting as the “quarterback” to align engineering efforts with business goals.
• Manage release planning and execution for the Instant Payments platform, which supports high-volume gaming traffic from major downstream users
• Support rapid scaling initiatives driven by seasonal demand and regulatory expansion
• Ensure the platform can handle 100 transactions per second with settlement times of 8–9 seconds.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain release integrity and ensure readiness for high-throughput, real-time payment operations.
• Utilize monitoring and observability tools (Dynatrace, Splunk) to track release performance and identify potential issues.
• Coordinate integrations with SaaS products and cloud-native operations to support scalable, resilient infrastructure.
• Apply agile principles to navigate a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal oversight.

5+ years of Release Management experience with strong knowledge/ experience:
• Testing frameworks
• Ci/Cd Pipelines Delivery
• Cloud Native Operations
• Integrations with SaaS products
• Monitoring/Observability tools (Dyantrace & Splunk ++)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Banking industry experience – real time payments / transactions ++++
• Volante
• Dynatrace or familiarly with other APM solutions
• FedNow experience
• Stablecoins (crypto) experience
• Incident Management (RCA, retrospectives)
