Remote Data Architect

Insight Global is hiring two Data Architects for a contract opportunity supporting our largest financial client in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. Although all-star candidates may have remote consideration, there is a strong preference is to have these individuals’ hybrid onsite in Cincinnati at their downtown location.

These Data Architects will be integral to the migration & modernization efforts from the company’s legacy DB2 systems to Snowflake data warehouse to be ingested by the new digital banking solution.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Lead the data architecture strategy for migrating legacy DB2 systems to Snowflake and integrating with the digital banking solution.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, analysts, and stakeholders to define data requirements and integration patterns.
• Design and oversee data modeling efforts, ensuring alignment with the digital banking solution’s consumption needs.
• Guide teams in extracting and transforming data from DB2 systems running on AIX.
• Architect Snowflake data structures, views, and stored procedures for scalable and secure access.
• Define and support the development of data services/APIs that expose Snowflake data to the digital banking solution.
• Ensure data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance across all migration stages.
• Provide architectural oversight for system-level data access, scripting, and troubleshooting on AIX/Linux.
• Document and communicate data flows, transformation logic, and integration strategies to technical and business stakeholders.
• Integrate core banking APIs with the digital banking solution’s out-of-the-box APIs, ensuring seamless data delivery.

-Min 8+ of data engineering & at least 2+ years of experience designing and implementing data architecture for large-scale migrations
-3-5 years of Oracle DB experience
-IBM DB2
-Snowflake Data Warehouse
-Experience working in AIX and Linux environments
-Familiarity with Backbase or similar digital banking platforms

• Familiarity with Backbase (+++) or similar digital banking platforms
• Kafka or other streaming platforms (for real-time data delivery)
• CI/CD and DevOps practices for deploying data pipelines and APIs
• Domain infrastructure with BFF layers moving data from on-prem to a cloud provider
• Exposure to SnowSQL CLI, Python, or Java for scripting and automation
• Python or Scala for custom data processing
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS)
