Job Description
An aerospace company in the Cincinnati, OH area is seeking a principal software engineer to join the Product Validation team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the utilization of various data systems within test cells. This role requires a broad understanding of how data systems function, their applications, and how end customers utilize the data. Responsibilities include:
-Lead and mentor software developers
-Champion robust software development practices and lifecycle management.
-Own and guide the software development process (not product management).
-Provide architectural direction and hands-on -development in C++ and Java.
-Engage in application-layer protocol design and implementation (TCP, UDP, socket communication).
-Support containerization efforts using Docker and Kubernetes.

Required Skills & Experience
-15+ years of experience as a software engineer
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
-Experience with application-layer networking protocols and socket communication.
- C++, Java, Python
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
-Automotive or aerospace industry experience
-Kubernetes, Kafka/Pulsar, and Hadoop
