Insight Global is looking for a long-term Platform Engineer contractor. They will be responsible for leveraging software development, deployment and support experience to lead or support evaluations of technical solutions to identify improvements in monitoring, architecture, ITIL practices, utilization of managed services and automation that can be used to address improved system availability. Ensure that processes and solutions meet the demanding nature of business-critical applications that have low unavailability tolerances.
Primary Responsibilities:
Evaluate tools, automation and frameworks supporting monitoring, batch and reporting functions, identifying recommended improvements / changes.
Participate in implementation of improvements as needed.
Evaluate manual processes and procedures and identifying automation opportunities.
Evaluate application support documentation for accuracy and completeness and identify areas that are not adequately documented
Engineering and support of monitoring tools.
Troubleshooting, Incident escalation and problem solving, including assisting in driving root cause analysis and prevention
Design, upgrade and support production monitoring solutions.
Drive change to improve and maintain the company platform uptime, performance, stability, and scalability
Analyze and offer recommendations for improved deployment strategies for client-facing and internal

2+ years of experience with Dynatrace monitoring, managing, and support
Experience with Python scripting/ programming and engineering of infrastructure batch and monitoring tools
Experience in system administration
