An employer is seeking a Network Engineer in the Cincinnati, OH area to sit on-site. This individual will serve as a member of the Network Operations Center and will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining the enterprise data, voice, and wireless networks. They will be a crucial asset to the team in terms of on-site support with upgrading the network from Cisco 7000 to Cisco 9000 and performing assessments of the wireless infrastructure. This includes assisting with full network upgrades within various rooms and branch locations including routing, switching, wiring, and refreshing access points. They will also be helping with upgrades in the data center, doing hardware refreshes, and palo alto upgrades. It is essential that this person has extensive experience with various Cisco products and has diverse knowledge on the wireless side. The client has a very large environment with approximately 1400 edge switches, and 6500 access points.
3-5+ years experience working within the network space
Extensive experience with wireless Cisco products, specifically with Cisco 9800, Cisco IOS XE, Cisco DNA, Cisco Catalyst
Experience upgrading from Cisco 7000 to Cisco 9000
Experience configuring and troubleshooting wireless access points
Experience working in an Enterprise environment or within higher education
CCNA, CCNP or any other network certifications
Heavy routing/switching experience
Experience using Ekahau for wireless surveys
