An employer in the Cincinnati, Ohio area is looking for a Sr. Android Developer for a hybrid, contract-to-hire opportunity. The client is an enterprise grocery store chain and this Android engineering role builds, enhances, and supports native components and middleware library as part of Kroger's content management eco-system powering our omni-channel customer experiences. These components are used to create, preview, and publish customer acquisition and landing screens on our app allowing Kroger to respond to market demands in real time.
The Sr. Developer will design, develop, and maintain native Android components that drive key functionalities within the Ecommerce App. This includes, but is not limited to:
Navigation and informational features that guide and inform our customers.
User interfaces that empower customers to seamlessly select their grocery preferences (delivery or pickup)
Lead the technical direction of the Android team by making key planning and implementation decisions.
Contribute to the team's software development efforts by writing clean, maintainable code.
Foster a collaborative and supportive environment by providing mentorship and guidance to junior developers.
Champion strong communication practices and effectively interface with Product, Design, and QA teams.
