A client in Cincinnati is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Mainframe Developer to join their IT team for a direct hire opportunity. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining computer programs of simple to moderate complexity across various platforms, including mainframe systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver reliable, efficient software solutions that support our enterprise operations.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, develop, test, document, and implement new applications or enhancements to existing systems in accordance with standards.
· Modify and maintain existing mainframe programs to improve performance and functionality.
· Install and configure software packages and ensure efficient operation of hardware and software.
· Utilize programming tools to ensure code accuracy and enhance productivity.
· Analyze and troubleshoot processing issues, collaborating with IT and business unit associates as needed.
· Communicate effectively with business units to clarify requirements and provide technical guidance.
· Participate in project meetings and contribute to large-scale development or improvement initiatives.
· Maintain compliance with all company policies and IT standards.
